Excuse my Language but... Hell to the NO!
My dad called me Monday night to see what I knew about the priest from my church that got accused of child molestation. EXCUSE ME?!?! I thought maybe he was kidding or joking but sure enough I got online and found an article about it. This priest from my church is being investigated for allegations of child molestation. Nice. And wouldn't you know that this is the priest that Tyler did his First Reconciliation with??? I find this just so bothering. It is things like this that make it really hard to have faith. I mean I try so hard to have something to believe in and I am trying to build foundations for my son and then something like this happens. It's unnerving. Of course Tyler is fine - I talked with him about the whole situation and everything is fine. (I didn't tell him anything about the priest - just asked about his interactions with him.)
The other thing I find troubling is the fact that the church has not muttered a word about this to us. Don't you think a nice letter or some sort of acknowledgment would be in order?

Mark your Calendars!!
Mark your calendars for May 6th. This is the day of Tyler's First Holy Communion. Mass begins at 10AM.
I don't think that I am the type of person that ever asks for much but in this case I am asking that everyone make their very best attempt at being there for Tyler. This is a very special day for him and a day that I hope will give him memories to cherish. I hope that everyone will make their very best attempt at being there. This really means a lot to me.
More details to follow...

Update on the phone thing...
The reason why Tyler is talking on the phone to Josh is because he is trying to help him through the Lego's Star Wars game. I just heard him say, "It's OK. Stay focused."
HOW CUTE IS THIS CHILD?!?!?
HOW CUTE IS THIS CHILD?!?!?
Where is your child right now?
Oh Boy. My little boy is growing up. Can I tell you where he is right now? Talking on the phone. For the second night - in a row! Last night he was on the phone for an hour!! Even when we went to eat he switched over to my cell phone! What am I going to do? Today we get home and the first thing he wants to do is call Josh. Oh.....
Funny story - my son is a routine child. He likes his routine and seems a bit out of sorts when I change it on him. Scott normally calls him every single day. Scott was out of town so Tyler didn't talk to him for like 4 days! I thought Tyler was probably bothered by it but he never said a word to me about it. So needless to say I was thinking that Tyler was really anxious to talk to Scott. So yesterday Scott calls and he wants to talk to Tyler and Tyler gets on the phone and I hear Scott tell him that he is going to come over and play with him. Normal response: "OKAY!!" Last nights response: "Well dad, I really just need to have some time to myself!" So when he got off the phone I asked him why he didn't want his dad to come over and play and he said, "Well I just finished a lot of homework and I really just need to have some time to play and then I need to call Josh." OK - the child ditched his dad to make a phone call. It's only a matter of time until he does the same to me!!
