Tyler the Ladies Man
Saturday night I took Tyler to his first Bucs game!! He LOVED it! He was a dancing machine and also a bead magnet! A caught a whole bunch of beads. We sat in the perfect seats so he was able to see it all. The news even interviewed us! After that he said to me, "Mom, you are a really famous person!!" Anyway, we went with my friend Alex who I think Tyler has a crush on. I teased him that he loved her and he said "She is pretty but I don't love her!!" What a cutie. So on the way home Tyler kept saying how thirsty he was so I told him he could get a drink as soon as we got home. So we are driving and he says, "Let me get this straight, when we get home I am going to have a drink and then we are ALL going to bed right?" Me and Alex bust out laughing and Alex told him she was going home. Is he funny?

Meeting Mrs. Mac
August 10th we went and met Tyler's teacher. He is thrilled to have her this year! When we got into the classroom we had to label all his supplies and put them away. What a chore! Tyler was pretty good at helping me. He had to fill out a paper with a whole bunch of questions on it and one was to write down what you help around the house with. Tyler's answer: Kill bugs!! How funny right? I almost made his change it, but it was just so funny I left it. Tyler is after all the designated roach killer in our house!
Anxious to meet the teacher
I am so happy and proud to say that Tyler is still one of those sweet children that LOVE school. He was so happy to go back to school and see his friends. The day before the first day of school is the day you go in to school and meet the teacher as well as drop off all their supplies and things like that. Tyler had been looking forward to this day forever. He was so excited he got the teacher that he wanted! So the morning of meeting the teacher I woke up and went to the bathroom to start getting ready and like 2 minutes later Tyler comes wandering in. He was all sleepy eyed and tired and he asked me, "What's going on? " I told him nothing was going on that I was about to get ready for work. He went back to bed but I could tell that something was wrong so I followed him to the bed and he was crying! I leaned over and asked him what was wrong and he said he just didn't know what was going on. Again I told him that I was going to start getting ready for work. He then asked me if he missed meeting his teacher. I told him it was only 6:40 in the morning and he asked me what day. I told him Wednesday and he was relieved to learn that he had not slept through meeting his teacher!
Poor guy had gotten all confused and thought it was night time and he missed meeting his teacher!

Short Stuff
Sorry it's been awhile, my computer was acting crazy, but now it is up and running.
Now on to the story - get the tissues.
Everyone knows I am not much of an animal person and actually I don't think Tyler is either. He went through the faze of wishing he had a dog, but most the time he says he thinks dogs are stinky. (I love that kid!) So Tyler isn't a huge pet lover, but he does have his pets he is around like his nana's cat Margaret who he loves to tall me about the time she threw up and his Naynay's dogs Shorty and Lucky. Shorty is the dog that made him go through the I want a dog faze. He loved this little dog. He would hold him like a baby and carry him all around. Funny stuff. Well the sad news is that Shorty died. My mom called to tell me in the morning that Shorty was in the hospital and I told Tyler that Naynay was sad that Shorty was sick. He seemed normal and not like he was caring too much. By mid day Shorty had died. After work I was having dinner with Tyler and I told him, "I am sorry to tell you but I have some bad news - Shorty died today." Please note this as one of the times in my life as a mother that I had no idea what to do. Tyler looked at me with those big eyes and just bust out in tears. Of course I bust out in tears and I had no clue what to do! It was horrible! I never thought he cared that much for the crazy dog! Once he was done crying he asked me some questions, like if Shorty was in heaven and if Lucky was sad. He is such a caring, loving, sweet boy.
