How vain am I?

OK, truly how vain am I? I never thought I was, but I must be. I mean I think I have the world's most beautiful child - I do! I look at him and I think - WOW - how good am I? His face, although highly deceiving, is the face of an angel. The face of innocence and such sweetness. Well if I ever needed a dose of reality this is it! That darn loose tooth is driving me bonkers! It is his very front tooth that is loose and it is hanging to the side and out. He looks like a one tooth buck tooth crazy person! I am freaking out here. I had to ask him not to smile around me! (Just kidding!) But really it looks so bad. We are going on our cruise this week and I think I am going to have to have him smile with his mouth closed because I do not plan on looking at pictures of him like this forever!

Baseball

Tyler had a game tonight. The team did well. Tyler did good too, but he has been acting CRAZY!! He is just so sassy. He gets up to bat and acts like a rock star! Really, who does he think he is?

Habemus Papam

Good news, Tyler wants to be the Pope. Seriously. After church today he told me so. It's funny because with the Pope's death and the whole new Pope - Tyler has really just been taking in all in. I have been collecting all kinds of articles and magazines to store away for him and I am sure they are talking about it a lot at school. The other funny thing is that as I am taking all this in countless times I have thought to myself how amazing this whole process is. I have never known anything about any of this. I cried when the Pope died. I cried because my grandmother loved him so much! I mean I am Catholic and I believe in Catholicism but you know, we are kind of a modern Catholic family. I have learned so much from Tyler and what he learns at school - I think that is awesome. But, I found myself thinking, "Who gets to do this? Who gets to be the Pope? How do they live this life that I admire so much but honestly do not think I can live?" I got my answer - Tyler. It could be him. With Scott as his father it more than likely will not be, but how awesome is it that if he wants to be the Pope he possibly could be?

Zoo Field Trip

On Tuesday last week Tyler had his field trip to the Lowry Park Zoo. As soon as I saw the permission slip for this field trip I knew I had to go with him, but of course I asked Tyler if he wanted me to go or not. Lucky for all he said yes! I have so few childhood memories, for some reason I just have blocked out huge sections of my life. But the one memory I do have is my mom going on my zoo field trip with me. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I was so happy and all my friends in my group were happy. I was a great day. I hope Tyler remembers this day the same way. I didn't get to ride on the bus with him because so many other parents were going we had to car pool. The only kids in my group were Tyler and Jacob. We paired up with some other moms so more kids could be together. The zoo was great. I had never been there, but Tyler had from summer camp. We only got like half way around the park, I told Tyler we would go back there sometime to see the rest. At least we got to see the manatees! Tyler knows that they are my favorite, so you should have seen how sweet he was when he saw them! He was like mom - your favorite! He pet some sting rays and fed larikeets. One bit him, so he wasn't loving that. Overall it was a really great day.

Baseball

Well, Tyler had two games this week. Tuesday's game was AWESOME!! It was the best game I have ever seen his team play. I mean of course I am partial, but Tyler always does pretty good. The problem is that not everyone on his team does so well. This time they kicked butt! They were getting double plays and outs like crazy! I think I have told you guys this before, but in this league they get 5 runs or 3 outs and it has been rare that we get outs. I mean the kids go after the ball but then overthrow the base or something crazy - not this time. Tyler did well at bat, he hasn't used the tee this entire year and truthfully I don't think he will.

He had another game on Thursday and he did well, but his team was not on the ball for some reason. The one bad thing about Tyler is that he is so competitive. He was out on the field yelling and then he was whining in the dugout because he didn't get this one person out. I hate that!

Catch up (Copy)

It's been awhile, but nothing too major has been going on. Tyler just got done with Spring Break. His first day out of school was March 24th. That day he spent the day with Mike's auntie Anne. Tyler LOVES her! He calls her the funny lady and whenever he is around her he laughs and laughs! Friday he was with Elizabeth and we got off work early to drive to Jacksonville for Easter! Too bad we got stuck in the mother of all traffic jams and sat in traffic forever! Tyler watched his Spiderman 2 movie in his DVD player he got for Christmas from Papa. He was loving it. Normally when we drive to Jax he sleeps the entire time, but this time he was up about half way, so it worked out perfectly that he watched the movie. Saturday we colored eggs with Vicky's neighbors. So far, we have only ever colored eggs with family and Tyler is always the center of the whole event, so this was new. I am not sure he was thrilled. My mom boiled eggs for him and they were out with all the other kids so every time someone would take one of his eggs he would just look at them. It was a pretty funny and actually a fun time. Easter morning when Tyler woke up he went into the living room to watch some TV like he normally does, but then he saw some eggs the Easter Bunny had hid for him and he ran into the room to wake me up! He was so excited, "mom, look! Look what I found! And there is more!" I grabbed the camera and followed him out. He was running everywhere getting the eggs and then he saw the trail of bunny prints and followed it to his basket. He seemed really surprised and happy! He looked all through his basket and then went on hunting for eggs. After all that we went to Vicky's house for an egg hunt and then later Tyler went with the neighbor Samuel to another egg hunt and then my mom had a hunt for Tyler and Samuel at her house. There was seriously like 200 eggs! This woman doesn't do anything small! Tyler was in heaven! He was having a contest with Samuel to see who could get the most eggs. Of course he won, but at the end he said, "It doesn't matter who won, we both got a lot." I love it when he is sweet. So for the rest of the week he stayed in Jax with my mom and David. I guess he was having fun, he only called me one time to tell me he "got blood." He skinned his knee or something and trust me when I tell you he is just a tad dramatic when it comes to blood! Sunday in church we sat down and he realized his leg was bleeding, so he pointed it out to me and I was looking all through my purse trying to find something to wipe it on, but I could not find anything so we had to go to the bathroom, later he told my dad that he almost died in church because I made him lose all his blood! Nice!On Friday my mom brought Tyler back and she wouldn't be my mother if she didn't tell Tyler that Toys R Us was opening at midnight for the release of the Star Wars toys! Guess who was there at midnight? You guessed it. There was the strangest crew of people there. Tyler was so excited. There was no way in the world I was going to be able to talk him out of going. We didn't go to bed that night until 1:30 in the morning! Tyler got the light saber that turns from Anakin into Darth Vader. Must be a hit because all the neighborhood children are jealous! After church on Sunday we went over to my dad and Lilly's house and he took us over to Tarpon Springs for lunch. At the restaurant our waitress was taking forever to bring us our drinks, so of course we commented on it and Tyler said, "Maybe she is going number 2!" Poor lady. We walked around the sponge docks for awhile, but not for too long because Tyler said he was bored "to death!" Can you say drama?

Tyler's life is boring! (Copy - since I can't find the other post!)

I am so sorry I have not been updating regularly - truly nothing exciting has been going on here. Let's see...A couple of weekends ago Tyler and Mike went camping with the Boy Scouts. I couldn't go because I had other commitments. It was the big Raingutter Regatta! Tyler of course made his boat into an army boat and he got second coolest boat! Cool huh? He was very proud of that.He actually has not been playing baseball very much because his games keep getting cancelled. He played one last Thursday and he did awesome - of course - He hit the ball well and got people out! He loves getting people out. This weekend he went with Scott. I guess they went to the water park, but Tyler said it was cold. It was cold! Of course him complaining made Scott mad and they were fighting each other. Scott called Tyler a baby and hurt his feelings. I asked Tyler if he told his dad that he hurt his feelings and he replied, "No, but if I could say a bad word, I would have said it to him." Thank you Lord, he is not allowed to say bad words!

Loose Tooth

Tyler's front tooth is loose! It seems like forever since the last time he lost a tooth. He is very happy. I will keep you posted on it's progress.

What is going on?

I had to find a new way to post pictures, but now it seems like my main page is gone. I will try and figure it out but in the mean time if you need to get to my main page you can click on the date that is highlighted near any of the pictures. A few of my posts are gone, so I will try and figure that out too.
